HYPERPIGMENTATION
OUR PHILOSOPHY
-
The first step in correcting hyperpigmentation is Surface Exfoliation. Increasing surface exfoliation reveals a brighter, softer complexion and provides the skin with the opportunity to strengthen new skin cells. This is vital for skin health. We offer a variety of strengths to boost exfoliation, both in our services and our home care products. Our favorite exfoliating ingredients that work well with hyperpigmentation include mandelic acid, encapsulated retinaldehyde, flower acids, and alpha/beta-hydroxy acids.

Pigmentation is triggered by various factors and pathways within the skin. Together with the Rhonda Allison Line, and through their extensive research, we offer products and services to influence and suppress the three primary melanin pathways. By utilizing superior ingredients such as daisy flower extract, kojic acid, L-arbutin, niacinamide, and resveratrol, we target three different pathways that trigger melanogenesis. Targeting these pathways leads to a reduction in existing pigmentated spots, prevents the darkening of hyperpigmentation, and results in more even skin with improved clarity.
-
When skin is under attack, cellular functions begin to break down. The environment, hormonal imbalances, and skin trauma all play a key role in this cellular breakdown. Because of this, cellular repair and protection are vital components in treating hyperpigmentation. Incorporating reparative stem cells, such as those found in edelweiss, gardenia, and Swiss apple, not only repairs but also increases protection at the cellular level. Adding natural, physical sun protectants – such as zinc and titanium dioxide – along with potent antioxidants is critical to minimize further damage and protect cells.
-
If a luminous, glowing complexion is the goal, then we must infuse the skin with natural lighteners, such as kojic and azelaic acids, and antioxidants like L-ascorbic acid, mandelic acid, and phytic acid, among others, to achieve a bright and healthy glow.
Pigmentation can be a result of exposure to UV rays, fluctuation in hormones, medications or certain traumas to the skin. Using professional services and products, our goal is to help with long term correction of hyperpigmentation. Our philosophy for correcting hyperpigmentation focuses on four key areas to help achieve a luminous, radiant glow!

In-office treatments are an important first step towards correcting hyperpigmentation. Because hyperpigmentation can not be removed entirely, maintenance and continued home care are recommended to prevent hyperpigmentation from returning. Shop here

Mid-depth skin peels are a powerful solution for targeting the intra-epidermal layer to correct deeper lines, scarring, and hyperpigmentation. Your esthetician may recommend a mid-depth peel every two to six weeks for optimal results. Anticipate a moderate amount of flaking for two to three days starting three days after treatment, followed by mild flaking for up to seven days. These peels are designed to deliver exceptional rejuvenating effects for skin correction.

A deep skin peel reaches the deepest intra-epidermal layers where skin peels in large segments. Skin becomes brown and crusted prior to considerable peeling, occurring three to four days after application. The typical recovery period lasts seven to ten days, with the treatment allowed up to twice per year. A deep peel restores and renews skin with the most dramatic results.

Experience advanced skin renewal with our microneedling treatment enhanced by platelet-rich fibrin (PRF). Your appointment begins with a quick and gentle blood draw that is then spun in a centrifuge to create a fibrin matrix made up of a potent concentration of platelets, white blood cells, and growth factors. This incredible concoction is then microneedled into the skin.
PRF is a powerhouse skin corrector used to improve tissue regeneration, reduce inflammation, soften wrinkles, increase skin elasticity, improve scars, skin tone, and tautness, and enhance moisture retention and blood flow, giving the skin a texture that is tighter, smoother, softer, and more hydrated.
Why we love PRF over PRP: PRF provides longer-lasting results because the fibrin allows for a slower release of your growth factors and platelets over time. Further, the extended release of this fibrin corrects and prevents, resulting in firmer, smoother, and more youthful skin.
